'The Road Thus Far'
I have held community workshops in many diverse locations over the years, enhancing cultural diversity and ethnicity leading to breaking down barriers and encouraging friendship, harmony and lasting mutual honesty. Here are two examples of community work shops i have tutored:
Patchings Exhibition 1998-2003
Phoenix Exhibition of Chinese Painting - Patchings Exhibition 1998.
.
August 2nd 2012 Chinese art experience, Wainfleet community hall, Lincolnshire
Priscilla held an Open Day in Wainfleet and provided tuition and demonstration in the art of Chinese brush painting. The event was well attended by the residents of Wainfleet and surrounding areas, and also members of the Skegness U3A group. All agreed that they had enjoyed the session.
August 14th 2012 Friskney wi, Friskney, Lincolnshire
Priscilla gave a talk and demonstration to the ladies of the Friskney WI. The ladies were then given the opportunity to use the Chinese paint brushes and to produce their own pieces of art.
August 25th 2012 Mindys Crafty Corner, Alexandra Rd, Skegness
Priscilla spent an enjoyable day at Mindys, on a wet Bank Holiday Saturday, to demonstrate the art of Chinese brush painting, 'with a twist'. She invented a way of painting that is achievable to everyone, including anyone with hand and arm disabilities. Whilst demonstrating, Priscilla talked about her love affair with art in the Chinese way, about her life as she grew up in the eastern countries, and how she progressed over the years to become a master of Chinese brush painting.
I do hope you have enjoyed my Road Thus Far, please peruse my blog 'Adversity To Adventure'.
My thanks to everyone, especially Keith Middleton my husband, who took me on a Caribbean cruise and made my childhood dream to see Barbados come true.
